(102,106 posts)(which CAN be contained with the use of proper air-filtering and grooming the cat prior to coming for the most part). Given I've had people go nuts over just the premise of allowing a short-haired DOG inside a business from time to time, I know that is a likely prospect.
Glad to see the training that makes this cat such a visual "role model" for kids, though.

(115,576 posts)Notice in the video that the cat gets treats when she cooperates. Cats can be easily trained with food rewards.

(11,086 posts)I suspect if I attempted to use food as a reward, I would lose an eye in the night. The cats out number the hoomans.

My parents had a Maine Coon with similar coloration in the 60's, and my father trained it to use a toilet! He said the cat wasn't bothered by water anyway, and it was pretty easy to train it. They maintained a litter box for it too, but the cat would frequently use a toilet instead!
It was pretty old by the time I was born, so I don't really remember it. There's old pictures of that giant cat laying on me when I was a baby. They said it was gentle and very loving towards me.
