I know it's not the best of names but I also call the kitten Flossy, heathen, eejit, and Spud.
Shitleg mostly though. Just cause.
6 days old and I've had Shitleg for all 6 of those sleepless nights and lost days scheduled around the baby in the house.
As it should be.
Fast mover unless sleeping.
This was at feeding and bathroom time. Tried to get a decent shot but Shitleg wasn't having it.
Eyes still closed but ears beginning to open.
This is my 3rd hand-raising of a kitten so young. All my cats have been rescues.
I'd call the eejit a foster but foster at my house just means new family member.

OP
I feed the neighbor's barn cats. I put out the food. They eat and give me dirty looks. I can relate.

Sometimes. Usually, she just continues to ignore me - which is why she's called Dammit.

(21,921 posts)1. You make me laugh, Solly!
You're a kind soul who clearly loves animals.
Does the kitten have a bad leg or is there another reason for the name?

(90,740 posts)2. My mom called us that from time to time when we were children.
Also eejits and heathens.
We won't give the kitten a name until the ears open fully. A couple more days. I'm leaning toward Jethro or Siobhan. Regardless.

(10,856 posts)7. Sure I'm not alone. Most 70's Dads were absentee alcoholic jerks.

I keep watching to see if any of the ferals I'm feeding might produce some offspring. Of course, I can't really get close enough to any of them to do a gender verification and have no real idea where they are denning. I'm just the human in charge of the veranda restaurant.

They always look hungry and perhaps rodents ain't their thing.

As in, "Stop that, Dammit!"

I've never been real good at training dogs. However, I do have significant experience at being trained by dogs.
