God, when I think how that movie scared the shit out of me and the monsters looked liked giant turtle shells that moved along like snails. They had a noodle neck that would slink out of the shell to bite you.

Salt water eventually killed them. Of course, what was the dead give away? They moved along like snails.

Years later, the funny-factor jumped out at me when I learned that the "shrews" were actually dogs dressed up as shrews.

Probably border collies or something

I thought I was going to die because they shot the scene of the space shuttle moving into the black hole in real time as if the space shuttle had no jet propulsion. I tuned in and out of the movie, and only when I came to the end and so the shot of the fiery robot inspired hell scene did I realize it was a classic.

impossible to "hook" into because they just kept getting gorier and gorier, and I can't stand to invest that much time on a movie where that end is so predictable. I like the ones where at least one person survives. I mean, truly survives and is not some kind of phantom ghost that comes out of the woods on the anniversary of their death.

There are some strong C and D movies listed above, but, a long time ago, those C's and D's would have been categorized as "B."
