(22,697 posts)Visited a friend in St. Paul last year and had a good time. Both Mnpls. museums were excellent. Just not quite as good as the Detroit Institute of Art.

(115,674 posts)the fault of Timmy "The Tool" Pawlenty. It had some design flaws in the first place, and it was carrying a lot more traffic than it was ever intended for when it was built. However, Timmy cut infrastructure funding to the bone, and the question remains whether better and more inspections could have discovered the problem before the thing went down. I doubt the current governor will allow things to go to hell like Timmy did, even though he has to fight with a GOPer legislature.
