Their lifespan is four to six weeks, and they will start to die off in late June into July.

Being trapped in the car doesn't much matter -- the adult cicadas don't eat, and heat just makes them more active (unless it gets to the point where you couldn't sit down on the car seats).

Honestly, there should be a decibel level specific to cicadas, and it should be considered a risk factor for hearing loss...
