Chrissy Tiegen apology tour

I know this is superficial, in one sense. I bring it here because she is an avowed committed Dem, and I think there is a valuable lesson.

She is apologizing for her horrendous bullying when she was younger, 10 or so years ago.

Maybe I've just drunk the Chrissy Kool-Aid - but it is inspiring and refreshing to see a public figure own up to her previous bad behavior with no expectation of forgiveness, with sincerity, and self-awareness.

I think it's a great role model for the rest of us.

I hope you can find it on Medium or maybe google, if you want more details.

I know, right? She is so frank - probably too much so, for many of us.

Anyway, I'm sure glad she and her talented husband are firmly on OUR side!!!

WILL eventually come back to bite you, no matter how much one has "grown" since then. I think that point about what you say online (even in the heat of the moment) reverberating even decades later is the message parents REALLY need to be teaching their children. Obviously, I would hope parents would teach their children to be empathetic and compassionate so that writing nasty things online would be less likely to begin with.

We can never be TOO empathetic. I've come to believe EMPATHY is the essential human emotion. That is, we are all connected. It's basically my religion.

How TOOBIN is back at CNN, while a couple of others were fired for *their* offenses (racism). BEHAR asked, "Does this (TOOBIN back) mean that Louis CK can be brought back? Then FRANKEN should be brought back." ---and Sunny said, "The problem is I don't know where the line is anymore."

They brought up that TOOBIN committed the offense at a different employer's venue, not at CNN, and he was fired from that other venue so he *was* held accountable (over there) and had consequences. Plus they made the point that a WOMAN (CAMAROTA) was forced? to have the assignment of hosting TOOBIN's apology, given that there are so many MALES at CNN to do the dirty job, that the assignment to her was totally embarrassing for her.

***As for me (about TOOBIN), I don't see the value of his being back on the air anywhere because NOBODY will be able to look at his face and not be thinking about his dirty deed. Nobody will be listening to any words of wisdom or high ground coming from him. Plus, his partners in debates will always have his dirty deed up their sleeve to cudgel him with whenever he might have them against a wall.

being observed choking the chicken during a Zoom meeting. Nobody will ever be able to see Toobin on TV without that mental image; I'm afraid he's doomed as a credible commentator.

I guess we should expect an Anthony Wiener comeback tour any time now.

She's had a very rough year. She's apologized. Haters should leave her alone.

she'd apologized before being called out on it.

I think she's grown up quite a bit, but I don't think she was a very nice person when younger.

It's hard to get past the idea she'd told a teenager (16 year old Courtney Stodden) to commit suicide. At the time, 10 years ago, Chrissy was 25.
