A question: on some posts, instead of seeing a photograph, I see a small box.

For example, on Montana momma's post about her hike, I saw no photos, just little boxes.
On the photography contest, most photos came through, but some were the little box.

1. try rt clicking on the box.

or close your browser and try again.

3. I tried that already and hit 'load image' and 'open image in a new tab' but nothing....

I'll try closing the browser. This never used to happen so I must have done something stupid.

5. If you have Xfinity for internet

They have advanced security setting in their cable box that can cause this issue.

I would look at your firewall/security settings via your internet provider and on your computer.

6. I use Mozilla and mostly private setting and to see all the content in DU posts I must disable the

blocking. I usually do anyway since I am not a paying member for DU and allow the advertising to pay for my visits.

Not being able to see some of the photos, reminds me to turn off the ad blocker when I am on DU.

7. There can be lots of reasons, but try this ...

... right-click on the box, and you might get the possibility to "Open image in another tab", or something like that. I have same problem, it is a setting in my Firefox that does it - but I normally like it to do this for other pages, so I am not changing it...
