A patient just hit me with that little how-do-you-do. I told him to wear his mask up over his nose while I treated his issue. He grumbled, but complied. Visit lasted around twenty minutes. He had neither a panic attack nor any difficulty breathing.

I even laughed and told him "If you get either, at least you're in the right place for it!"

He actually turned out to be a pretty decent guy. He just had a head full of bad information from people no one should listen to...

He might experience hyperventilation and a sensation of shortness of breath, but even if it caused him to pass out he'd keep breathing. Of course you know that, but he didn't, and he had a head full of FOX. Glad you were able to clear some of the junk out of his brain.
