Any Deep Purple fans here? Their organist, Jon Lord, just passed away from cancer

Absolute Radio ?@absoluteradio
Jon Lord, co founder of rock band Deep Purple, has died of cancer aged 71.

Makes me feel a bit old....I remember Smoke On Water being one of my favorite rock guitar riffs (bring on the big time fuzz tone).

RIP, Jon.

One for the road - great organ solo to start - one of my favorites!

Hands down one of THE loudest concerts I have ever been too.
And Jon Lord rocking that keyboard back and forth was to be reckoned with!
He will be missed!

Jon was one of my favorite rock keyboard players, he had great feel and presence.

I saw them play last year with Steve Morse on guitar. Great show and Joe Satriani opened. Satch came out and jammed with DP. Jon played his ass off as usual. I was also fortunate enough to see them in back in '74 at the first California Jam.

RIP Jon.

It was a great show indeed - except I think I got Edgar Winter opening up (That's not a complaint, btw - just a statement - Frankenstein was fun live too!)

but damn. Going to load up all my Deep Purple in remembrance.

Fantastic performance. The light show was the greatest.
