I lost $50 that fell out of my purse.

Yeah, I miss the money, but I'm OK relatively.

I'm grateful it wasn't my cell phone, my housekey, and/or my car key/fob.

I can always replace the money. The others would be more than a little inconvenient.

Plus, here's the trade-off: I took my car in for a diagnostic check, was there all day. Dealership couldn't help me, so they didn't charge me the usual $160 for diagnostics. I guess that means I really saved $110 with the loss of the $50.

Yeah, I miss it.

I'll be more careful next time.

But the other things would be costly were I to lose them. It's all perspective.

But yes your phone, credit cards, house key, car fob would be scary.

My cousin recently lost her entire purse, or it was stolen.
She lost everything, plus $400 cash she had just taken out of an ATM.

And had to scramble to replace all the other stuff.

That was a lot of money at the time. I vividly remember the platform shoes I bought with some of that money. This is all to say that maybe you lost money will be more meaningful t whoever finds it.

I feel like I’m the luckiest person in the world. Half of that luck is good and the other half bad.

7. So you lost the $50 at the dealership? If so, glad they did the diagnostic for free.

Where did it fall that you couldn't retrieve it?

after visiting a fairly newly-met neighbor and sharing a glass of wine, who might have lifted it (I'll never know for sure). Several days later, I found several bills scattered around the court outside the door of my apartment. $50 gained. Justice? Karma?

11. I once left a small leather pouch on an information counter with about $50 bucks in it.

The counter was crowded and I had to wait to get my question answered. Don't recall why I took that pouch out of my pocket, but later realized I didn't have it and remembered having it at the counter, went back but no one claimed to have it. It was near Easter, and I figured I left behind an Easter Egg for someone.
