Don't panic, Suri Cruise fan club members. The 6-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is a-OK after the car she was riding in with her mother was hit by a garbage truck Monday night (July 16) in New York City.
Police confirm to People that the Mercedes carrying Katie and Suri (though driven by a driver, not Holmes herself) was struck by a garbage truck as it was leaving the Chelsea Piers recreation center, which is near to the girls' new Manhattan apartment.
A source says, "Suri was crying in the car."
This is the second time in four days Katie and Suri have been in a fender bender. Last Friday (July 13), a paparazzi car hit them as they were pulling out after a trip to the famous FAO Schwarz toy store.
