I am giving up the fight against the hoarding of toilet paper by my hubby.

He freaks out when shortages of tp or paper towels are covered in the local news. We don't have a lot of
storage space but I am finding creative ways to hide it elsewhere. He likes to pile stuff up. Our dining room table is now full of his saved papers and old paid bills and bank statements, etc. We now eat dinner in our family room.

He used to put all this stuff downstairs where he had a basement "office." It was littered by paper stuff until mercifully a broken water heater enveloped that space in a foot of water. Now, months after that disaster (which was fine with me cuz what it ruined was old stuff he didn't need any more) he is piling it all up on the table.

Now he is physically unable to go up and own the basement stairs. Our home helper comes in every other week to do the laundry and cleaning. She negotiates the stairs to and from the washer and dryer.

3. May I suggest buying a scanner if that's feasible?

Although it’s tedious to scan records that must be kept, it greatly reduces clutter. As long as he is diligent about backups so that if the computer crashes or is stolen, you still have access to the records, he may think it’s worth it to regain the space.

My TP inventory is under triple digits, so I gotta head out and get some more.

At least TP doesn't have an expiration date.

7. Do you live in mortal fear of being caught unprepared if a big shortage of tp occurs?

That happened a while back and hubby was almost frantic.

9. I have always maintained a reasonable TP stash but when Covid was ramping

up my friend told me that I should stock up.

And I did - some. Now I know that I had ample TP but when I would be at Sams or any place else and saw the insane run on TP (and everything else) I would have a panic attack (which was beyond insane I know). I would buy a little bit more. I think that I ended up with a 2-year supply. I have managed to not buy any in probably over a year and I still have plenty.
