I'm losing interest.

(62,403 posts)I watch mostly for the questions. However, Matt chasing after Jennings and Holzhauer is interesting.
They could go back to the 5 wins and out format, but I think many want to see someone go as far as they can. At some point he will lose.

(8,445 posts)I still have it on every night, but I just check the score every once in awhile to see how lopsided it is.
I guess I find it almost painful to watch him annihilate everyone. I think there has only been one time where he could have lost going into Final Jeopardy.

(1,395 posts)It's really boring indeed. Jeopardy should have hired a more popular host and they should allow the other contestants to gang up on someone like Matt. The other contestants could ring in whether they know the answers or not, just so Matt can't. I'm sure there are rules against that...boring!

(62,403 posts)Matt wins most if the time. Then he has to get the answer right.
Jennings was fast.
Holzhauer was fast.
Bialik does a decent job. I personally never thought Trebek was the greatest, but he was tolerable.

(4,098 posts)Tonight I quit when he got the first Daily Double. I'll watch again when he's gone. I know he has a lot of fans here, but to me the game is dull without competition.

(8,445 posts)Even if my team is winning, it's just not that much fun to watch when the end result is a foregone conclusion.

Sounds like you want to Make Jeopsrdy Great Again by making it for dummies.

Your conclusion is just way, way off.

(15,805 posts)Hes good. Hes humble.
Sometimes a contestant gives him a run for the money. Tonight the other two contestants seem to be a bit lacking in energy.

(8,445 posts)Then I saw what he was doing, and I absolutely admire the preparation he has put into going on Jeopardy. It's as if he took what James Holzhauer did and refined it even more. I want to see him go up against Holzhauer and Ken Jennings, and I'm sure that's going to happen. What a fantastic game that will be!
I just want to make it clear, I'm not at all saying I don't like Matt. Quite the opposite. I admire him more than I've ever admired a contestant on Jeopardy for his intellect, preparation, and strategy.
Half way through the Jeopardy round it's obvious that these current challengers are no threat to Matt, and he almost always has the game won half way through the Double Jeopardy round, if not sooner. The game is over way before they get to Final Jeopardy.

This man is the president of the united states.
What is Joe Biden.
I have no idea why that grates on me but it does.

(8,445 posts)That's what I read. You're not alone in being bothered by it. I didn't really think about it, but it's very clever. Every millisecond counts, and it's working for him.
I always enjoyed hearing about how the various champions trained for Jeopardy. Being fastest with the clicker is imperative. I also enjoy watching Wheel of Fortune, and sometimes we can clearly see that players put no effort into training for the competition. If I ever had the opportunity to play that game, I'd be doing every kind of word puzzle I could imagine. In my living room, I'm superb, but I know it'd be different in the studio.

(11,627 posts)Because you can see him thinking after he has rung in. Of course, he's rarely wrong so that confidence pays off.
