Robert Plant's Marriage Comment Was Just a Joke

Rocker Robert Plant's publicist has shot down reports suggesting the Led Zeppelin star has wed singer Patty Griffin, insisting he was joking when he told the media the couple "eloped" last year.

Plant appeared to confirm rumors of a wedding in an interview published earlier this week in Britain's The Independent.

He told the newspaper, "I eloped and ran off to Texas. So now I spend half my time there and half here (in the U.K.)".

But Plant's spokeswoman has set the record straight by explaining the rocker was being cheeky when commenting on his love life.

She says, "Robert has not married Patty Griffin. He was just referring to the fact that he's been residing in Texas".
