Another baby step forward with the feral kitten's, tonight

Mittens the Kitten approached me so I held out my hand and she sniffed at it. I didn't try to push things any further. I'll just hope for a few more like encounters, and maybe then Scooter will do the same.

It's funny - they are both FAR more comfortable around me than is their mother, Skittish, and I've been feeding her for much longer. Something bad, human related, must have happened for her to not be able to be comfortable around me. I'm glad I've been able to show her kittens that they can trust me.

garage never got people friendly. Her daughter was sometimes willing to enter a house for food, but her own daughter was fiercely feral. Never was able to handle her and get her socialized.

Your heart and generous spirit are an inspiration to me….in the aftermath of losing Sophie and Morgan, you rise another day to give love to these creatures. Thank you.

I know they are meowing away, although I can't hear them through the door. And, trust me - they let me know if they need a mid-day snack. And every 'breakthrough', well, it makes my day.

And thank you so much for the kind words. I'm still tearing up, at times, but Madoc is keeping me on my toes, making me laugh, and giving me a lot of sweet snuggles.
