trim the cat's fur or whiskers. If you watch the video the scissors are behind the cat's head.

They're vital for sensing how far to jump,balance and judging the size of openings so he wont be caught inside.

Kitty whiskers are vibrissae. They're as important to cats as our eyes are for us.
