I must have gone through at least a dozen pair when in school. My favorite shop always had a big basket of them, each pair rubber-banded together, and they only cost a couple bucks. Even found a solid navy blue pair to wear at my sisters wedding reception since I dont do heels. They were actually pretty cute with the bridesmaid dress, lol!

(1,109 posts)Very nice. I have several pair of similar shoes, neatly wrapped in scrunchy plastic and tucked inside an old wooden keepsake box I can only find on lonesome rainy days. They present fond memories of a lifetime ago. Thank you for your heartfelt posting.

(3,406 posts)I lived in those shoes back in the 70's, they were dirt cheap at dime stores or K-mart. After those, Doc Martens were my popular fav - but of course way more expensive.
Thanks for the memories! Maybe I buy some to use as house slippers, ooohhh they even sell pretty embroidered styles with a little wedge heel.

This is only an image found online. If I could afford it I'd probably buy one today.
