4. That's how our Peeper was adopted from the shelter. When I took him out of the cage

where he'd been mournfully crying, he latched onto me for dear life and wouldn't let go. He was a sorry, little boy who had been the sickly runt of a feral litter. I couldn't leave him there. Sad to say, he's never been quite right personality-wise. I chock it up to being separated from the litter at such an early age and isolated because he was sick. He's a very aloof cat who almost acts autistic. But, we love him just the same. He's about to turn 13.
