Being elderly and disabled I grocery shop online for delivery.
The three major chain stores I routinely order from are all sold out of yogurt.
Vanilla, cherry, blueberry, strawberry, plain...
Brand name or store brand.
It doesn't matter.
They are all 'out of stock'

(20,755 posts)Unfortunately, as always, it's heavy on "nonfat" and "lowfat" and "no sugar" added versions, and a superabundance of pseudoyogurt versions made from nuts and seeds and god knows what-all else.
Looking for blended-flavor whole-milk yogurt is like being on a unicorn safari (as always - it's never easy to find), but all the rest of it is plenty available here.

(32,075 posts)No problems in Publix and Kroger, except for the stuff that's on sale. But, that's normal. Aldi has been out of various types. They usually have non-fat Greek yogurt, but the whole milk version only shows up one week per month.

(14,061 posts)Ive not seen my usual brand for weeks. Ive taken to buying a box of what Im eating now, whenever Im at the store, just in case.
Coke and other soft drinks were just about gone, too, which for me will be a real crisis.
Ive heard this may last through at least spring. It seems like the shelves are slowly going bare.

(191 posts)The last time I saw empty shelves here in Japan was in the aftermath of the 2011 earthquake-tsunami-nuclear explosion disaster. I've been to 5 different supermarkets recently, and all the shelves were fully stocked.

(14,061 posts)Shelves were literally bare, especially in the bread aisle. But supply has been gradually decreasing since after Christmas or so. No rhyme or reason, other than cereal. Trash bags were scarce one week.

(32,075 posts)Which has been in short supply for a while in some places. (Straining it overnight in a colander lined with cheese cloth or a coffee filter makes lovely cream cheese.)
The yogurt supply in my town has been pretty good. The shortages are spotty--by store, and by certain varieties of some brands.
