As I understand it, DU's Star Membership does not block ads but instead it allows us to use an ad blocker and still see content. I use uBlock Origin with Firefox on a Windows system and never see ads or see any ad-like behavior.
You might check your device's settings to insure nothing has changed. I've had software updates lately that changed some settings for reasons unknown.
Anyone remember the old days when some browsers could be set to auto-refresh every so often?
