13. Same.

This one had me nervous. Had one letter out of place on my first row; two errors on the second row with one correct. Had to play around with it and managed to place three on my third guess. Went with a kind of obscure word on the fourth, and got it on the fifth.

I’m going to start trying other vowel-ly words the first row. The one I’ve been using hasn’t been much help.

... Refresh the page and at the bottom of the pop-up that shows your statistics is a big green "SHARE" button. Click that and paste your results into a post, email, tweet, etc. Very elegant and simple design in my opinion.

It is my 16th game, and the first one that took 6 tries. Whew! So fun to see the results here! I saw that Smithsonian Magazine has an article about the psychology behind Wordl. Must read it and see why I'm playing! lol

22. Curious as to your opening strategies

Do you all start with the same word every game or do you switch it up?
I've been using different words (with at least two different vowels) just because it gets boring to do it the same way every time.

24. I use a word that has a mix of common vowels and consonants.

So today even though on my 1st try I only got 1 letter right, it eliminated 3 common consonants and 2 very common vowels.

That gave me a jumping off point. My next guess I eliminated 1 more common vowel and 2 very common consonants. So given what was left in the vowel(2) and consonant bag it was pretty easy to come with words that would work. I had a choice of 2. Had I made the right choice, I would've gotten it in 3, but I choose wrong so got it in 4 which is pretty much what I always get. Doubt I'll ever get a 1 or 2. Will be thrilled with a 3.

But enjoy the mental exercise 1st thing in the morning. It gets those brain cells sparking.

The first five letters can be arranged to spell "atone", so that's what I start with. It may seem boring, but it's easier than trying to think of a good first word every day.
