especially 427s. How an unfinished body shell managed to survive 45 years in pristine mint condition is a miracle of sorts. Clean Shelby Cobras are worth a fortune - especially the 427s, many of which wound up wrapped around trees shortly after purchase. You basically had a 500 horsepower engine in a 2500 lb car. The 427 Cobra was as much like a live grenade as a car.
