Interesting, this past week I saw a couple teevee ads for Lowes and EVERYONE in both commercials were wearing masks!

(22,661 posts)went to our annual rural electric coop dinner meeting. With over 500 people in a banquet room and no one was wearing a mask. We stood in lines and using the same utensils we filled our plates with food. I used hand sanitizer before eating and was trying to be careful. I felt a little at ease knowing I had all my covid shots, but two days later I woke up with a chest cold. I immediately got my home test kit out and tested negative for the virus. I wished now I never went to the meeting. My advice, be more careful than I was!

(16,935 posts)I'm thinking about attending Grandparents' Day at my grandkids' school tomorrow. I got my 2nd booster last week, but I still want to wear a mask. It is a private school. Most of the people will be maskless, probably not vaccinated either. I was debating about going without a mask and trusting the booster, but after hearing about VP Harris (sending healing thoughts!) I want a mask. Aside from Covid, the temperature dropped and my lungs are senstive to cold air. And a mask will keep me away from the donuts

(16,377 posts)Honestly, I'll wear a mask from here on out. I work in a clinic and have to wear it while I'm there and it doesn't bother me, so why not? Even when there is no hint of the pandemic I will continue to wear a mask. Forever.
