Seriously-it is a strange thing-small tube upright hovering around . You can watch the leaves of my fig tree they are not moving. It moves on it's own....I'm calling them Valerian Fisherman for lack of a better term.

(2,533 posts)What it is. But I really don't know for sure. I figured I'd post it mostly for fun. My cam has probably 14 hours of this. This was the 12-13th and have not see it since.

(86,323 posts)I think it, really, is a caterpillar sort of creature building a web or traveling to a habitat of some sort.
Interesting to watch some of these creatures who show up on our windows.
Once had a moth larvae build a chrysalis on our patio door. Got to have the kids watch it. Even got to see when it hatched, it was cool.

(2,533 posts)Those are pretty similar. I see long thin strands of what looks to be spider web attached at times in the 10 minute video.
And there is a 60+ foot Honey Locust tree above where they are doing the "fishing " from. So Maybe the dismalites fly larvae or a clever spider fishing the breeze.
At least I hope so...
