So Binge watch or weekly watch?

I personally like a series to come out at once and I 9 times out of 10 will binge watch. For me I like taking a weekend and watching a full series then going on. To me drawing out weekly kind of annoys me.

if you had the ability to decide how you watch TV and streaming services would you prefer to binge all your shows or do the weekly route?

Not necessarily over 1 weekend, but when we start a series, we will watch nightly until we've gotten through it, then move on to the next.
In a way it can suck because the next season could be 1 to 2 years away, but we've gotten used to it and the series usually opens with a good recap of the last season or so.

It's just more fun to watch an entire season & then move onto the next show. I used to hate how you would just be getting into a season of a show & then the holidays hit & there was maybe one new episode between T-day & Xmas.

Definitely. I'm currently catching up on 9-1-1. I'm all up to date on Grey's Anatomy, and I have only the 2022 seasons of The Good Doctor and The Resident to catch up on. You can guess what kinds of shows I like.
The very first show I binged on my own was a Russian series with subtitles called The Ancestral Land. It was amazing--think War and Peace set in 1920s-1950 Russia. Husband and I also binge The Good Fight whenever a new season comes out, as well as Yellowstone and 1883, and we absolutely loved Longmire.

... by that I mean over the course of a few days. I can't sit still and watch the entire season - one episode after another with no breaks. However when a show is only on once a week, the episodes often come at inconvenient times or days and I find myself losing interest. What REALLY frosts me is if I have to miss an episode!

I prefer to record the series all in advance, and I don't start watching until I have them all. If I can watch one or two per day, then I remain interested in the story and I have no trouble remembering the side-plots and characters, etc.

So my answer is "binge" but in short spurts.

there are times when I CAN wait and sometimes I just cannot. Spy Family is one of those "cannot wait". I cannot wait until the next episode comes out every Saturday.

I do not watch 6, 8, or 3 episode's in one sitting. I've read several posts on Du where the person says they "binged watch a series through the day and into the night. At most I'll watch 2 episodes in one sitting.

Yes, if a series' episodes are not released all at once, I will wait for the entire season to be released before I start to watch it.

I follow one series until I've completed a season. I generally also watch the last couple of episodes of the previous season just to refresh my memory.
