Open question about Netflix Series that are gone

Specifically Netflix specific content.

I've not ever really seen any of original Netflix content ever be made available by DVD/Blue-Ray. Can anyone explain why this is the case? Would seem like a nice secondary profit for shows which have fallen out of play.

Specifically looking for Queens Gambit.

I probably badly phrased the question. For content which Netflix owns - or at least paid a production company to create - I would assume there is some process to eventually create a DVD or Blu-Ray once it achieved some lifetime of use. Has anyone really seen that happen? Most of what I have seen up have been Pirated copies which escaped Amazon's review - ex: Agents of SHIELD seasons 3 and 4.

I wanted a blu ray of Army of the Dead, because the streaming version looks terrible.

And so, that's what I have read. Netflix wants to keep its catalog to itself (at least for now).

Ok, you answered my question...

The choices are:

* Hope it is still streaming
* Hope it has a pirate DVD

Does not seem so smart on Netflix's part...

The web user interface is terrible.

Remember how we used to be able to rate the shows? They took that away presumably because their own content was getting bad reviews.

On the bright side, their Lost in Space remake was quite good.

not to the Netflix show - or at least do not appear to be legitimate copies. If I wanted a copy - I do not where I can go find an appropriate "Arrrchive"

Really want to get an official copy - wondering if anyone knows the process to how that happens? When does Netflix release their older content to DVD?
