I just don’t have the heart for it right now. I know there’s optimism regarding Trump being indicted and so on. But I’m just not in a place right now where I can immerse myself in the proceedings.

5. I know you are a ways away from retirement. What do you think you will miss...

...the most about your job once that time comes?

I miss new babies and first time parents. I also miss being an authority figure. I used to tell my husband and sons that, besides liking the actual work, the other things I enjoyed about my job were:

- people came to me for my advice
- they listened when I gave it and thanked me for giving it
- they usually followed it
- if I saw them back in follow up, they often told me how well the advice worked
- I got paid for it

None of those things happen at home.

Letting them know that they are loved and that someone cares.

I’m a gentleman. Whatever you served, I would eat with pleasure and be happy you invited me for dinner. I don’t like the taste of mushrooms, but I don’t think they’re poisonous or anything.

etc., when making dinner, as I want it to be a wonderful time.
