Also, keeping the tank full reduces evaporation.
Keeping your tires correctly inflated helps increase mileage.
Make sure you close your gas cap correctly. Even if you click it shut, some cars require an exact number of clicks to ensure proper operation (I make sure the gas cap on my Prius clicks 3 times)
Make sure you are driving around with extra weight. Some of us use ours cars for extra storage, so clean out the groceries and the yard sale finds
