We have a rooster, Hop-a-Long Cassidy, that broke his leg as a baby. We tried setting it a number of times without success. Now, 3 yrs later, the muscles above the leg have developed 3 times the size of the other leg. So, he basically walks on that stump, and gets along fine. Even breeds the hens.
