Simple calculation involved here.
Total up your guesses that are 4 or less, and divide by total plays of the game.
So in my case I add:
0 + 4 + 26 + 47 = 77
And divide by total plays:
(77/103) * 100
Which comes to 74.76%
Curious how other people do in this regard, feel free to add your own calculation/percentage
PS My girlfriend is at 75.29% ... clearly smarter than Mr. L

(33,643 posts)Nothing wrong with a strategy based around 'never losing'. It's all in fun anyways

(10,971 posts)I've been playing hard mode for a few weeks, which takes longer, but even when I was using multiple starter words to clear letters I was generally hitting 4.
My stats reset when I subscribed to the NYT as well - I'm only showing 83 total games and I've been playing daily since last December.

(33,643 posts)This game represents a very small sample of possible intellectual challenges.
For the record, I often take absurdly long playing this game (I mean, I've taken an hour and a half before, not kidding, and a half hour is not uncommon), and I've read a lot about strategies from people that are better than me at this game.
It's not just brains, it's 'how much do I really care'.
Because the first thing in AM my girl and I do is Wordle, and we're both fairly competitive ... I'm perhaps more motivated than most.
When she's not here in the AM, our morning text is usually along the lines of 'Good morning love ... Wordle in 4'
