He is an adversary of Superman from their home planet Krypton. He has all the powers of Superman.

Zod tries to take over Krypton. He is defeated and imprisoned with two co-conspirators in a two-dimensional prison.

Eventually, he gets out and tries to take over the Earth. He lands in the city of Houston and thinks the whole planet is named Houston.

After about another hour of movie time, needless to say, he is beaten by the defender of the Earth, Superman.

However, I much prefer the movies Man of Steel and it's sequel Batman v . Superman.

These movies from the late 2010s are serious, very intense action movies. The ones from the 1980s are groundbreaking but somewhat goofy.

The two from a few years ago have amazing soundtracks by Hans Zimmer. Some of the best movie music ever, to my limited ears.

Of course I grew up on Superman comics like everyone else.

In the 80's I was working full time, going to graduate school full time.
I missed out on a decade of pop culture.

I will go see if Prime or Netflix has the movies.
Thank you for the info!

I've learned the hard way that Halloween costumes have to be somewhat comfortable.

When I lived in NY, I acquired and modified a Star Trek red blazer costume as seen in the movies. It's substantially made, and looks and fits great.

But now I live in FL and the thing is too hot to wear.

As an aside, Man of Steel is one of my favorite movies. Those Superman movies from the '80s were/are less impressive to me.
