A guy goes to the hospital with stroke symptoms

the hospital keeps him overnight for observation but everything checks out good, he has no insurance because he lost his job and is not old enough for medicare or medicaid.
A week later he checks his mail and has recieved a bill for $15000.00
He strokes out and dies on the spot.

Why don't we have free healthcare in the richest country on the planet ?

that is paid for by taxes. There are only two classes of people that are usually against it - those that think others should pay for their healthcare by refusing to get insurance and those that think everything should be about profit.
