52 years ago today, my little sister was born

She was cut down in the prime of her life by cancer on March 1st 2006 at the too young age of 45. Her younger daughter was a junior in high school when she died, and her older daughter was a freshman in college. Today, both of her girls hold undergraduate degrees in nursing, and both are working as RNs. In a couple of years, they both will have masters' degrees.
My sister did a great job raising her kids withOUT their shiftless, worthless father, with the help of our family.

Happy Birthday, Cynthia I miss you every day.

I'm so sorry she died so very young...

But she did live long enough to raise her daughters to be the accomplished and wonderful young women they now are...

And that is quite a legacy.

I recently lost my beloved sister. She was only 50.... and I know what a hole this loss leaves in your heart and your family. Bless you for helping to raise her daughters. They sound like wonderful young women who honor their mother's memory.

Cancer is awful. Lost my MIL when she was in her late 40s to the pancreatic kind. My BIL was also still in high school.
