I had been hospitalized with COPD two weeks ago and am now in a rehab facility doing much better. I posted briefly about my condition and many of you sent good vibes that I had asked for and I just want to thank all of you that did. My brother was kind enough to bring my computer to me and he has been an incredible help to me through this.
Thanks again for the good vibes and well wishes, I very much appreciate them and you

(102,105 posts)Just takes time to adapt to the newer meds and regulate your condition. Not sure if you are at higher altitude where you live, but sea level is "easier" to adjust. Best wishes.

My husband was recently diagnosed with COPD. He has another follow up appointment with his pulmonologist this afternoon. His screening for lung cancer came back negative and his magic Rx inhaler (trelegy) has given him back much eased breathing. Hes able to walk more without stopping to rest and even finish the railing and steps on our new deck. Just the gate and balusters left to do. Hes also started lifting my 8 pound weights every morning.
He was in a bad way while struggling to breathe. He was about to just give up but he found a good doctor who is working with him to get his health back. Hes doing so much better after just 3 months in treatment and is determined to make at least 7 more years for our 50th wedding anniversary.
Keep up the good work with your rehab, nightwing. Youre getting better every day!
