New York authorities discover 14-foot reticulated python on the side of the road

Authorities in New York’s Long Island were stunned to find a massive 14-foot reticulated python lying on the side of the road.

Environmental conservation police officers got a call about the out-of-place reptile on February 14, according to a news release Wednesday from the state’s Department of Environmental Conservation. The python was lying on the side of the road in the town of Medford on Long Island.

When the officers got a closer look at the reptile, they realized it was dead. They removed its body from the road, according to the news release. The department did not specify a cause of death.

yard, but left them there. Needless, to say they died and smelled terrible. One cobra got out. One day,as I was getting my mail., it came up the road, stood up and opened these wing things on the side of his head. I froze. Luckily, my neighbor came and threw a lawn chair at it. A couple of months later it was found--dead.

To just let those snakes just die in thier cages. I had a red tail Boa Kali and I would have never done such an evil thing to her.
She was calm, tame had a quirky personality and enjoyed interacting with me. She would greet me in the morning when she knew I was awake. Took her for walks in the neighborhood. I had her until she was 16 and was 7 -1/2 feet long.

I had to move out of my house into an apartment. A vet friend of mine was looking for a snake as she was building an enclosure for her snakes the size of a room she could walk into it. Had 4 glass walls temp control humidity control lots of shade plants and heat lamps and lots if branches to perch on. Way better than the set up Kali had at my house. The vet she just fell in love with Kali and was amazed at how much of a sweet snakey girl she was.

I cried I went back home. Still miss my snakey snek.
I would never abandon any pet-ever.
Here she is
