King Tutankhamun's throne chair is an extraordinary and exquisite piece, among the greatest wonders of ancient Egyptian civilization. The throne was discovered in 1922 by the British archeologist Howard Carter. It was found beneath the Hippopotamus funerary bed in the antechamber of the Tomb of Tutankhamun.
