In my world, it is not funny and it is not right to attack people because of their religious belief.

13. The designer of the cartoon seems to be

conflating Quakers of the past with Amish. The Amish that I know don't use "thee" and "thy" in every day language.

Even Quakers don't do that any more since the English language no longer has a formal and informal version of the words "you" and "your."

what they speak - their own version of Low German, altered a bit over the generations in America.
