Unless the uranium is depleted, or essentially all U-238. That's because uV doesn't have the photonic strength to elevate the valence electrons to a higher state on a barely radioactive metal.
But, in the lower mass isotopes those electrons get pushed up. When the exceited electrons drop back to ground state, and the excess energy is released as photons with a wavelength of about 530nm. Hence, the yellowish green light.
Vaseline jars used to be made of uranium glass. Some antique stores will have them displayed with a grow light so they glow. There's a place a half mile from our house that has a few. They're asking way too much for them.
