Thanks, I've wanted to see that movie for a long time.

...thought I'd look for it on YouTube, and there it was.

He worked on The Monkees series. I asked him if it was fun and he said hell, no. He said everyone was so stoned all the time it was very difficult to get anything done. He said at times he felt like the only one taking his job seriously.

...released in 2000.
It featured actors who resembled the actual (young) Monkees, and they were depicted smoking weed - especially Peter - quite a bit.
I guess that was an accurate depiction.

Did not recall that Jack Nicholson was co-producer and co-writer (with Bob Rafelson, a mystery man to me).
