Colossus of Rhodes at the entrance to Mandraki harbor on Greek island of Rhodes

157 ft tall it was considered one of 7 Wonders of Ancient World.Built by Greek sculptor Chares in 292BC, to honor patron god Helios for their victories over Cyprus.Destroyed in 226BC in an earthquake.
