I'm sure you can imagine the flavor. I imagine my reaction was not just to the AMAZING flavor, but to the nostalgia involved.

(9,975 posts)But I bought a quart today, after not having any since last year, noticed the carton had gotten a new design, thought uh-oh. Sad to say the ice cream inside was different too, with a strong unpleasant artificial flavor that I can still taste hours later. Yuck!
Ben & Jerry's Vanilla Caramel Fudge just moved up to first place.

(4,214 posts)I also liked Dove Chocolate when it first came out but soon after they went to a lighter chocolate. The ice cream made fresh from freshly milked cows at the Wisconsin State Fair is hard to beat also. Legendary creampuffs too.

The last two are store-made flavors of Savory, on Route 6 in Truro, MA
Häagen-Dazs (or however they spell it) coffee is pretty legendary, too.

(38,553 posts)Like a Heavenly Hash or Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk.
But these days, I tend to lean towards flavors that lend itself to a chocolate add-in, like coffee or black raspberry.
Last night I tried an "Orange and Cream" which was TO DIE FOR.
Peach ice cream belongs near the top of the list, but it is difficult to find.
