(246 posts)Personally I think it is kinda gross the way the folks taking the video are gawking at him just doing what he needs to do to get his groceries home - in an environmentally-friendly manner no less. Meanwhile they sit in their car going on about the "the crazy things you see around here".
Okay, I know it is a bit of a curiosity, but come on. Maybe they should get their gawking butts out of the car and offer to help or maybe offer to throw his scooter in the trunk and give him and his groceries a ride home. Just my visceral reaction/2 cents.

(28,118 posts)When I had to "truck" a difficult 20mo old in his stroller, along with many bags of groceries hanging off the stroller, almost a mile, mostly uphill, to our "flat." We didn't have a car. What an exhausting time - I'd never want to relive it.

I own a scooter and often use it for shopping.
I use a big backpack. Problem solved. No spectacle.

(16,182 posts)Maybe his wife needed the car to get to work but it is unusual, for sure. No doubt he has kids and has devised a means to do what hes gotta do. Good thing he doesnt live far and has obviously done this before. Someone should hire him for his determination and problem solving skills
