1. The whole thing is very sad. Why people with lots of money don't decide to help the planet and its

inhabitants is really mind blowing. Can people really be that greedy and uncaring? I feel sooo sorry for the children they are forcing to be born. They will have such an inferior quality of life on this planet....if they even survive

5. So are my daughter and her two sons

Her sons are 2 years old and three months old. Their lungs are not equipped to handle this.

NYC used to be known for its air pollution fifty years ago, and cleaned up its act. But this is looking like Beijing or New Delhi on a bad day.

6. Yesterday in western NY the air was clear.

It was so nice to enjoy a warm spring day without a hazy sky.

Today a haze is back again, although not very bad, yet. This morning around 9:30 am the haze covered the sun, making it look like a fuzzy ball with no clear definition.

This afternoon the haze has lifted a little. I don't know why but it seems like there's a pattern to the haze of being worse in the morning and evening and clearer in the afternoon. But it never got as bad here as in NYC.
