I ask because any cat I've owned would have ripped a hole in that paper to find that bump and kill it - even the ones whose claws I could trim.

But it makes me sad to think someone may have declawed him. Maybe his owner is just better at clipped the claws than I ever was - or maybe they use the claw covers, though I think they would show.
