Atheists know the Bible better than the people who purportedly believe it.

It's like tea party people and the Constitution - those who claim reverence for it have never read it. Just the claim of adherence and piety magically compensates for not actually having read it. I have also noticed both camps - tea party and fundamentalist - heavily overlap as a demographic, and both maintain the only interpretation of both Bible and Constitution is literal and concrete. No room for contextual understanding. Rigid, authoritarian 'thinking'.

Okay...I overthought this.

Let's just say I got to see how Christian Christians can be when we were trying to divide my mother's belongings after she died.

Not something I'd ever watch on a regular basis.

Kind of like that Honey Boo Boo thing. You gotta see it once.

Takes far more after her mom.

She's playing that keep ninety percent of your brain hidden game that some southern women do and you catch a glimmer now and then.

Why they do this? I don't know.

The father and older sisters appear to be slap idiots.

But as a kid I memorized like half the episodes and still retain a residue of my encyclopedic awareness of that cultish diversion.
