we ate a lot of beans and rice, but always as two separate side dishes.
But they go well in the same dish, too.

but whenever I've tried to get people my age to remember it, everybody has drawn a blank.
"What? No I don't remember that one".
This commercial has kind of haunted me all my life. I think of it every time I make beans & rice.
