Beans and Rice, it's nice!

We never ate beans and rice when I was a kid, so I thought this was kind of weird. I thought it sounded like the most disappointing food, ever.

1. Funny, having been married to two Hispanic ladies...

we ate a lot of beans and rice, but always as two separate side dishes.

But they go well in the same dish, too.

but whenever I've tried to get people my age to remember it, everybody has drawn a blank.
"What? No I don't remember that one".

This commercial has kind of haunted me all my life. I think of it every time I make beans & rice.
