and sidewalks in the winter because the salt will damage their pads. I've seen some poor dogs with cracked and bloody pads because of it. Otherwise, I don't see much reason for it.

... I went to work and left it on her for the day.
.
.
.
When I got home, it was quite a while before I realized that, not only hadn't she greeted
me with one of the only kisses she ever gave me (EVERY time I returned when I had been
gone for the day), but that I hadn't seen her at all.
.
We lived in a 33' RV -- there weren't a lot of places for her to hide.
.
I found her under the dinette table in the very back, too embarassed (anthropomorphism
be damned) to make a sound. She had gotten one of her front legs locked INTO her
harness and couldn't remove it.
.
I felt terrible -- REALLY terrible. She got lots of attention and affection and treats for
quite some time.
.
OH!!! And she also had grown accustomed to the harness and we went for many, many
enjoyable walks together -- she trotting along at my feet or at the limit of her 15-ft leash.
