Even if they land and bite, they don't go far so it doesn't itch for as long.

They track you via CO2 in your breath, then move in. Most people who think they are especially attractive to the buggers think it is because of many things but it really means they have a heightened immune response, causing more bumps and itching. Most people get the same number of bites but less treaction. I used to get bites all the time, hardly ever now. I grew out of it.

Biting gnats have managed to get into the house. They torment me when I'm trying to sleep, but have never once bothered Mrs Lasher sleeping right next to me.
