(106,565 posts)After months of Hallmark Christmas movie ads (all so damned formulaic they write themselves), I found "The Holdovers" delightful. Also glad that Oppenheimer (apparently) won a lot too.

(72,578 posts)although I've seldom viewed most/any nominees of whatever event, just make up my mind from media buzz.
*** Actually, I was minorly stunned - touched? - that GERVAIS won with all the history with the Globes.
And after months of my prejudicial favor for Lenny BERNSTEIN, I concede to myself that OPPENHEIMER has a more historically epic sweep beyond just one individual.
*** And I repeat, I have only seen Napoleon, not anything else. Despite my favor for Joachim, disappointed in it.
