I haven't had a cellphone in a LONG time. Can anyone give me some advice...

.
.
.
... on what vendor I can GO to and get a prepaid phone.
.
.
.
I only used about 50 mins and less a month when I had one. I've only sent
about 3 texts in my life and I wouldn't need a smartphone nor one with
access to social media.
.
I'd rather not pay a monthly fee and I'd like minutes that don't expire.
.
I assume I'll have to BUY a phone at full price and that could be expensive.
.
Does this still EXIST anywhere?
.
Any suggestions? Advice? Money-saving ideas?
.
.
.
Thanks.

Oh, by the way... I went to TracFone's website and couldn't find coverage in Tucson. I THINK I
checked for it correctly.

Also, if you can find someone who will just fill a sim card with minutes, I have an old cp you can have for free. It dosn't do tricks but it does telephone just fine.

And I found that if you do not use the minutes you paid for within certain amount of time, you lose them. I finally opted for Great Call and got a Jitterbug phone and it only cost me $21.95 a month and I know I was not going to lose my minutes.

Or there are plenty of smaller prepaid companies that piggyback on the other networks. There are dozens of them and most you've probably never heard about. So the best place to start would be to figure out which carrier has the best coverage for the areas you want to use, and then look at the prepaid companies that serve that network. This will narrow it down some. Then look for the carrier that has a plan that suits your needs. Many have rollover options as long as you keep your account active which is generally a good thing. If you just want a basic phone, the phone itself will probably run you around $50-70.

I use Virgin which allows you to build up a credit for any minutes not used.

Good coverage in the Tucan Az area but since you are in the Tucan area just buy some string and use them.

the minutes for the phone, plus the cost of the phone. And those minutes are only for a limited amount of time and then you lose them.

You can get a phone for as little as $50. Buy $100 worth of minutes which is 1,000 minutes and they will last for a year. There are no month to month usage charges, nor any type of "hidden" charges.
